   “WELCOME TO LILY LAKE” SIGNS

Thank you to  Jeff Lawrence and Larry Lohr for their help in installing these signs. 

 

     In early May, Larry Lohr and I went on a hunt for cedar logs for the Welcome signs we purchased from Hogger’s.   We purchased four - 12’ cedar logs from an Amish family North of Gladwin.

     The logs were stripped of there bark and belt sanded.  The were cut to length, the tops rounded and then were sealed with 3 coats of varnish.

     The entire process took about 3 weeks, with time allowed for the varnish to dry between coats.

     The signs were then installed on the corners of Lily Lake Road & Carrier Drive and Lily Lake Road & Harding.

     Thank you to the Hawkins and Heintz families for allowing the signs to be erected on their properties.
