LET US REMEMBER THOSE WHO ARE SERVING OUR COUNTRY IN MILITARY SERVICE AND THOSE WHO HAVE GIVEN THEIR LIVES TO PROTECT OUR FREEDOMS. WE ARE FOREVER IN THE DEBT OF THESE INDIVIDUALS AND THEIR FAMILIES FOR THE SACRAFICES THEY HAVE MADE FOR ALL. FREEDOM IS NOT FREE.

03/08/10
Warm and sunny days from last week continue, today’s high was 54 degrees. The snowpack has been melting at a steady pace, there are grassy patches starting to show. Rain is forecasted for the later part of the week, which with our below average snow fall this winter, is a good thing. The first harbingers of spring were spotted on 3/7/10, two red winged black birds were seen at a bird feeder. Red winged blackbirds traditionally send scouts ahead of the flock to find breeding/feeding grounds. The 35th Annual Clare Irish Festival runs from 3-10 thru 3-13. There are many activities scheduled, including, on the 13th, an Irish Craft Show at the Clare Primary School from 9am-4pm; at noon the Irish Parade on Wilcox to 3rd Street; at 2pm the Clown Band Concert will be held at the Clare Moose Lodge. Happy St. Patrick’s week! Pictures and/or stories that you want included on the website can be e-mailed to dmlaw1@charter.net. Should you have any questions or comments, please call Dave Lawrence-LLIA President at (989) 539—5396.
